چکیده
This work aimed to evaluate the variability in distribution of root system among genotypes C. canephora cv. Conilon and indicate management strategies for a more efficient mineral fertilization. Root was evaluated six genotypes. The experimental design randomized blocks with three replications. Soil monoliths measuring about 27 cm3 were collected at different soil depths, row distances nine inter-row planting. collections carried out one plant each repetition. In total, 1296 samples evaluated. roots washed, digitized processed quantify length density, volume, surface area diameter. characterized using semivariograms. It observed that highest concentration occurred close irrigation drippers. There variation However, general, is concentrated depth 0 20 cm soil, up 50 planting 60 inter-rows. Therefore, greatest efficiency nutritional can be achieved by applying fertilizers within radius around plant.

Differentially expressed genes and proteins upon drought acclimation in tolerant and sensitive genotypes of Coffea canephora
The aim of this study was to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying drought acclimation in coffee plants by the identification of candidate genes (CGs) using different approaches. The first approach used the data generated during the Brazilian Coffee expressed sequence tag (EST) project to select 13 CGs by an in silico analysis (electronic northern). The second approach was based on sc...
متن کاملSNPs Based Molecular Diversity of Coffea canephora
Coffee offers one of the most widely drunk beverages in the world, and is a very important source of foreign currency income for many countries. Coffea canephora Pierre presents a great genetic variability, with one of the widest natural geographical distribution within the subgenus. Newly developed single nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) markers are effective in genetic diversity detection. The o...
متن کاملEvidence of genetic tolerance to low availability of phosphorus in the soil among genotypes of Coffea canephora.
The expansion of agriculture to new areas in order to increase the competitiveness of coffee producing countries has resulted in cultivation expanding into regions with lower natural fertility. This scenario has created the need to differentiate genotypes of Conilon coffee based on their tolerance to low levels of nutrients in the soil, especially phosphorus, which imposes high limitations on c...
متن کاملGenetic diversity of standard leaf nutrients in Coffea canephora genotypes during phenological phases.
Diagnosing foliar nutritional status is essential for fertilizer recommendations and for the identification of nutrient imbalances. This study aimed to verify genetic diversity and establish mean standards (leaf nutrient contents; LNCs) and relationships among leaf nutrients (LNC relationships; LNCRs) in seven conilon coffee genotypes during both pre-flowering and bean-filling stages. Twenty cr...
متن کاملAnalysis of Phosphorus Use Efficiency Traits in Coffea Genotypes Reveals Coffea arabica and Coffea canephora Have Contrasting Phosphorus Uptake and Utilization Efficiencies
BACKGROUND AND AIMS Phosphate (Pi) is one of the most limiting nutrients for agricultural production in Brazilian soils due to low soil Pi concentrations and rapid fixation of fertilizer Pi by adsorption to oxidic minerals and/or precipitation by iron and aluminum ions. The objectives of this study were to quantify phosphorus (P) uptake and use efficiency in cultivars of the species Coffea arab...
